Introduction:
Target Audience:
Designed for operational personnel, site supervisors and aspiring AMOSC Core Group members who would be involved in the practical aspects of oil spill response, in ports, port facilities, onshore and offshore hydrocarbon facilities including refineries.
Learning Outcomes:
- Evaluate oil spill incidents to initiate accurate and timely notification procedures.
- Apply appropriate oil spill response strategies and in-field techniques.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the identification, operation, deployment, and recovery of specialised oil spill response equipment.
- Manage field logistics including site assessment, decontamination, and waste management.
- Coordinate vital operational communications between tactical field responders and the overarching Incident Management Team.
